About Autism Cayman

Autism Cayman was established on 29 February 2024 as a non-profit organisation under s. 80 of the Companies Act (2023 Revision) with registration number 408296 and NPO registration number 694. Our Memorandum of Association records our objects as follows: (a) to promote autism acceptance in the Cayman Islands; and (b) to provide community-based support, information and advocacy to autistic persons and their families (and/or carers) in allegiance with all autistic persons in the Cayman Islands. 

Founded by passionate autistic allies, parents of autistic individuals, and in collaboration with our Autism Committee - which includes autistic members - Autism Cayman is committed to being the voice for those who need it most. We listen to our community, act on their needs, and works tirelessly to break down societal barriers. In a world where autism is often misunderstood, Autism Cayman offers an unwavering promise: no one in the autistic community will be left behind. 

Autism Cayman aims to transform the Cayman Islands into a beacon of autism acceptance. We will do this through community-based support, information, education, and resources while advocating for the rights and full potential of all individuals on the autism spectrum.

Our vision is to be the catalyst for a neurodiversity-embracing Cayman Islands, where autism is understood, celebrated, and integrated into every facet of society. This initiative is a long-term project. We are dedicated to creating lasting change in the lives of autistic persons who are in desperate need of ongoing support.
